Steve Watson created a simple PHP invoicing script called PHP InvoiceIt. This application, once installed in your web hosting account, allows you to create invoices with ease, and the invoice details can be customized to your specifications and requirements through the configuration file. To really make the look and feel of the invoice template fit your needs, you may need someone who is skilled in PHP at the very least in order to change the current invoice form.
The original form of this invoice application allows you to enter your billing details, update the invoice form, and once you are done allows you to print your invoice via your web browser. You do not need a database backend such as MySQL in order to use this application. However, this means that once you create your invoice, print it out, and close your browser, the details that you entered will not be saved anywhere else. This means that if you need to edit the invoice, you have to type out the whole information all over again. If you do choose to use a database backend and put in additional option such as converting invoice into PDF or e-mail format, it will require you to do a bit more programming.
